So whatdaheck is NorMar? It's just short for North Maricopa County. I didn't want to use NoPho, as it's already in use elsewhere, and besides, there's a lot more here up on the North End than the farthest reaches of the Big City. Anyway, my main thing is writing, so in addition to adding people, places and things to the Guide, I'll be posting things like recipes, information I think people will find useful, and perhaps the occasional guest blog from people who want to talk about what they do.

A free community resource for anyone interested in alternative healing and etcetera When I moved to New River just about a year ago, I had high hopes for classes, meetings, groups, and stores. I'd already located a super school, but sadly, it closed last March. So here I go again, looking for more stuff, that isn't an hour's drive from home. I've found a few wonderful people, a store or two and a couple of ongoing groups, so I'll include those in the Guide section. As you'll see, there's not
